Because they are, in fact, Marxist-Leninist in their world view. They have essentially the same world view as the Black Panther Party of 1968.
If you don't believe me, just go ahead and do a bit of study into the political platform of the 1968 Black Panther Party, when Huey Newton was around. It is not very much different nor much more radical than today's US Democratic Party.

I honestly do not think they know what Marxism is. They don’t know what fascism is.
They claim Trump and republicans are fascists, but they’re the ones trying to force speech and ban speech, and protest every time something doesn’t go their way.
