I understand why they would want this, I don't understand why you all seem to want it.

While rock bottom gas prices are nice for the average consumer, they're terrible for the industry.

I personally don't mind paying more for gas as long as it shores up the security of the industry and doesn't go overboard like back in the W. era of prices.

There seems to be a lot of misunderstandings about the pipeline first of all it created about 1000 jobs even though they said it was going to create around 11,000.

Second of all they are not getting petroleum from this pipeline they are getting what’s called tar sand, and once that tar sand is sent to a refinery they use petroleum to refine it about 3 to 4 times more petroleum then would be used for a crude oil. Also it’s very difficult to get to TAr Sand And it is incredibly thick and toxic and the pipeline has already had 12 weeks that cost billions of dollars not to mention Tar Sand when it does leak sinks to the very bottom water level of the land and this pipeline goes over many waterways and a lot of these actually are drinking water and it gets into the water and I also believe that the water provides about 30 to 40% of the irrigation in the United States so it gets into crops ruining farmland and ruining farmers productivity as well.

Last but not least it also invades on indigenous peoples lands and I think in my opinion they have been through enough but some people don’t seem to care at this point.

So basically it does not really create jobs, it violates indigenous treaties that we said we would not violate, it wipes out thousands of boreal forest land, it kills thousands of species of animals by decimating their habitats, it hurts American farmers when the leaks inevitably happen, it cost taxpayers billions of dollars for cleanup. it also uses a lot of petroleum to make usable fuel out of tar sand therefore increasing gasoline prices .These are some of the reasons.

did you cry like a left wing pussy at all the pipelines that have been laid in the last 10 years like this also?

You know how i know you have never laid a pipeline? you know how i know you do not know shite about environmental inspections and restrictions they have?

keep spouting talking points from DU dipshit

Oil on the overall market keeps oil down . Lack of oil on the overall market drives oil higher . That oil you spoke of moving to ports for export is a great thing as it proves oil independence . Now if you investigate past a headline then you’ll learn more why it was canceled . Warren Buffet has a monopoly in transportation up north with the oil tankers for trains . He also is a huge backer of Indian resentment against oil pipelines in the form of donations . Learn shitt before you try and troll

that study actually found that Canadian oil import growth will go on at “almost identical” levels through 2030 using existing and new pipeline capacity as well as rail shipments – whether or not Keystone XL is built."

The biggest investors in the railroad and tank car companies carrying the oil are also some of Biden’s largest donors. This has nothing to do with environmentalism, just follow the money.
