It feels like you're talking about a caricature rather than most 'left-wing' people. There are vocal online users who are like you describe but to pretend they're the vast majority of people who vote for 'left-leaning' candidates is nonsense.
Bearing in mind 81 million people voted for Biden, most left-wing people don't really go around calling others privileged or whatnot nor are they angry. I'm certainly not angry - I just didn't like Trump.
Online angry people who are left-wing aren't representative of the average left-wing person.

Want to be clear. I am referring to the far left as is my understanding of what is being referred to in the thread. That said, my experience has been the more moderate leftists still sympathize pretty heavily with the radical left even if they don't participate. That could be due to living in a blue state so I hope you're more correct than my perception. An example - I didn't see much self-policing among liberals re: summer of love ("hey, I'm all for helping the black community but maybe BLM shouldn't rip people out of cars and beat the crap out of them"). Instead it was a full endorsement of the violence. I'm hoping there was/is self-regulation toward more moderate views and I just haven't come across it, because I'm hoping cooler heads prevail all around

For what its worth, I agree with you on the BLM stuff.
