No it doesn't. The virus will be back just like the flu, whether its 4 weeks, or 4-6 months.
This has a transmission rate higher than the flu... humans have been unable to stop the flu. Which is why you are already seeing spikes in Hong Kong.

Lock down has to be many months (6-12mos, and possibly up to 18 mos.) and more strict than what exist already in this country.

because they didn't even try to contain it, they let it spread like wildfire across the country and most just had mild cold symptoms and recovered, the sick and elderly died and they were perfectly ok with that happening
when the whole population gets infected its done and over with in a week or two, the more you try to prevent it the longer and worse it gets.
there never should have even been a warning about carona and no one would have even know the difference
every year we get a new Asian flu outbreak, this one was no different then the last 20 years it happens, only the fear mongering by the press caused the panic and global over reactions

We're looking at reset button at this point, the virus is going to be the least of everyone's concern.... do to all these nutjobs.

There is no way they could hide that many deaths. So, we have a virus that is black plague level and China sat on it and allowed it to infect the world? This I could believe, but if that is the case why haven't tens of thousands other deaths been reported outside of China?

It doesn't have black death numbers. Most estimates are 30-60% of the total populations.

Look I am republican as it gets, but looking at anything out of china is idiotic. For one thing their government will literally exterminate anyone that doesn't do exactly as they say during their lockdown. Number 2 china will just give us whatever numbers they want to give us.

Someone also doesn't understand that China uses a "social credit" system to determine access to the internet and social media. Basically the system works like this. The more you promote China and the Chinese government the greater access to the internet you are allowed. And they have spyware in their cell phones and computers that allow them to keep track of this.

1. the bug will start to surge once the restrictions are lifted
or
2. the people not showing symptoms (asympomatic) is much larger than the Diamond Princess numbers... basically it burned itself out (I would say unlikely) Are most people already immune?
Either way you can't shut the world down forever without hitting the reset button. This is a serious bug but at the end of the day, I haven't seen anything to go ape shite over.... meaning frick everyone over in the world.

You should google R0 value of outbreaks.
As a community approaches 40% immunity, the R0 value drops and the outbreak dies off.
Quarantine/social distancing also reduces the R0 value.

Unless the amount of people not showing symptoms is off the charts, meaning most of the population had it and are immune now... the virus will be back once the restriction are lifted and the conditions are right.
If its the first part that means the death rate is probably much lower than the flu.
