When our government changed and allowed everything, your sons duty is to the protection of this country.
You and your son are exactly the problem. Your duty is to your country and fellow citizens and to protect us! Same problem with police. Arrest and kill rather than protect and serve. In all actuality you are the problem and disgust me.

I have many former and current military with multiple generals. My fraternity brother led the charge into Iraq.
I was 100% military until recently. Take a look at our generals dressing as women and tell me that is what you signed up for? Tell me anyone signed up to go to Ukraine? To fight and die for what?
Did you learn nothing from Vietnam?

I served, seven yrs in the Navy. I would not send my child to fight for any country except the USA. Then only if it was at the border of the USA.

The power brokers in Washington work directly for the ultra rich elite so they can use war to further enrich themselves.
In the 80s, I served 6 years active duty in the navy, honorably discharged. Most of my veteran brothers feel the same way i do.
To one of the posters earlier in this thread that stated you make an oath to obey your superiors, you are only partially correct. The very first thing you make an oath to is the Constitution. That trumps anything else. You have a duty to disobey any order that is not congruent with the constitution. Sure you may end up in a military prison, but that is the price to pay.
Finally, I have an 18yo son. I'd send him to central or south America before I'd let him be drafted.
