You people are just nuts

You think? My father, the former Thuderbirds pilot would never fly a 15 over a 16. He never flew 22's or 35's. But, of his friend group from back on jos USAF days would pick a F 16. The other planes simply can't do what F-16 can do.

Historically, which fighter jet was the most successful ...
The F-16 Fighting Falcon, also known as the "Viper", is often cited as a favorite among Air Force pilots due to its maneuverability, ease of flying, and excellent visibility from the cockpit. Its fly-by-wire controls make it responsive and enjoyable to fly.

Ultimately, the F-22 seems to edge out slightly for its cutting-edge tech and dogfighting prowess, but the F-16’s versatility and fun factor make it a close second. P

Unlike most of those countries, we actually need a navy.

President Trump can't fix the state of our weakened military in six months? Shocking. Maybe he should ask the Taliban to give back some of Biden's equipment.

No one expects him to.

Hmmm? DOGE problem? Because, money has been spent, a lot lot lot of it...blood, shed, a lot of it.

They’re getting a whole lot more stuff in return for the RMB. Now as to whether it works like it should…
I can tell you this from extensive first hand experience — their infrastructure and ability to build quickly is leaps and bounds ahead of us. We will not fare well in a conflict with them no matter how far ahead we think we are technologically. They will simply out produce us.

Surface combatants are not obsolete anytime soon. Where do you think the missiles come from? That includes the hypersonics. We should be pumping out the Constellation class frigates and just aren’t because our red tape is outrageous. The design is done—it’s literally already produced by two other navies. It’s a modified FREMM. But we just can’t get them moving because our shipyards are slow and under-resourced.
The 2000-2015 ish era was the worst era of US shipbuilding in history. We built several dozen useless LCS ships that can’t do anything and wasted tens of billions on the Zumwalts that also can’t do anything because we killed their weapon system. So now they are being retrofitted for hypersonic AS missiles but I’m sure that will suck too and need 18 years of testing.
The only thing we put out reliably are the VA class subs, and even those at just one a year. Which isn’t adequate to replace the old 688’s. The Ohio replacements are years behind schedule already and won’t see service for another ten years
US shipbuilding is an embarrassing disaster. You mentioned cargo ships—we practically don’t even build those anymore. Our shipyards were all closed in the last half of the 20th century. We don’t build anything anymore. Bath, Newport News, HI in Mississippi, and whatever the hell FMM is doing in Wisconsin isn’t enough.

Well my 23 years in military avionics and aircraft modifications plus being around hundreds of pilots that would choose a 15 over a 16 everyday would tell them they are wrong. I also have 17 years experience with F16s and the F15 is far superior to an F16 in every way possible. We call F16s lawn darts for a reason. The F15 is 100-0 in air to air combat, can't say near the same for an F16. So the AI is also wrong.

being in an AMU for 23 years makes you more knowledgeable than the guys that fly the plane?

I agree with US shipbuilding being a problem but that’s not from lack of funding and I am just going to say it, not of this includes the dark army shite.

Getting rid of the troons is definitely a step in the right direction.

Oh I agree funding isn’t an issue. It’s a bureaucratic and labor issue. The US spent the past 70 years making a conscious decision to kill our ability to build ships of all types.
It’s gotten to the point that we just don’t have it and can’t summon it out of thin air. The people who decided to kill Avondale, Philly, and literally all shipbuilding capability on the West Coast should be killed.

They find something to complain about. Incredible.
