Because otherwise we’re no better off than we were before and we’ve seen that half assed approach lead to disasters in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and elsewhere.

I admit that I'm pretty much aligned with Gorsuch, and if he says it ain't flying, I'm good with that. He's about the most constitutionally sound justice of all of them, although I'm more ideologically aligned with Alito and Thomas.

That funding was going to pass no matter what. They could afford to grandstand. They only grandstand for conservative values whenever the passage of progressive legislation is guaranteed. However, when it comes time for common sense legislation to pass such as funding ICE to do their job, they always find some twisted logic to side with the progressive legislation.
