But building up and replacing trained, military-age soldiers with older, untrained conscripts they are just going to run at machine guns at 1200+ per day isn't going to adequately replace soldiers, even half as many, who know their job and are capable of working across branches and job assignments, or provide competent on-the-ground managers that you can build an actual team around.
Replacing Soviet artillery rounds with North Korean, or tanks built in the past 30 years with tanks build 50 or 60 (or 70) years ago, or Russian-built missiles with Iranian built missiles, isn't going to make things any better.
I think Cavoli would agree with me on this. Of course, Cavoli's job is to worry about things like this, and it's clear that he's thinking about it, so it's not like it's a small thing that the Russians continue to expand when they are already in a major war, but any thoughts that things are going to get better for the Russians any time soon is wrong - I'd bet a full paycheck on that.
Of course, if you disagree, we an put a wager on it. It will probably take a few years to get an answer, but such is life.....
