He definitely is. But he is pretty consistent at RB. I've always liked the idea of playing a back 4 with a wing back and a converted CB as the 2 fullbacks, this allows the team to quickly shift back and forth between 3 and 4 at the back and allows some field shift with the left winger coming in field and Ashley Cole pushing up to take his place.

I like the Barca way. Push the two full backs up and drop the cdm in between the two cbs forming a back 3 if you will.

Yeah I like Barca's system as well but there are just so few fullbacks in the world who can be so dynamic in the attack. My only issue with the Barca system is that I would hate having somebody who covers so little ground in that holding spot (Sergio) but I guess when you can keep that ball most of the time that's not as much of an issue.

It will revolutionize the game. A distributing CB will be the way of the future IMO

sounds similar to an old school libero, too...

Yea like De Rossi did the first game of the Euros for Italy.

More and more teams are running a 3-4-3 now and days but I rather the way Barca does it. Without the ball they are 4-3-3. With the ball the switch over to a 3-4-3 seamlessly.

can you say suffocation?

Not only that but their pressing ability minimizes the field exponentially. Once they win the ball back, they assume a more proper shape and spread the field back out.

Yup they press as soon as they lose the ball and if the initial pressing doesn't work they drop back and organize.

Villa clearout continues as Dunne heads for Premier League rivals Stoke
Richard Dunne is set to leave Aston Villa for Barclays Premier League rivals Stoke City.
The transfer has been held up as the centre half recovers from groin surgery but is expected to be confirmed before the transfer window closes on August 31.
Villa are eager to trim the club’s wage bill and cash in on Dunne, who is almost 33 and in the final year of his contract.
Tony Pulis is a fan of Dunne, whose physique would not be out of place among a bruising backline the Stoke manager is keen to overhaul.
Pulis will listen to offers for Ryan Shawcross if his bid to gazump Queens Park Rangers for Michael Dawson is successful but a move for Dunne is not affected by that.
Since signing from Manchester City for £5million three years ago Dunne has made 111 appearances for Villa, scoring four goals, but missed almost a third of last season with a broken collarbone, although he recovered to play at Euro 2012.

I take it you are not a big fan of Richard Dunne.

All you Azkhjaogihepoiahdk people already claiming he should be Chelsea's first choice RB, have you even seen him play more than maybe one or two times? Seems even Dandy knows very little about him.

I have seen play a handful of times. We played against him twice last year in the UCL group stage.
He looks a good RB to me.
He looks a good RB to me.

Is he good enough to ignore and override his own red cards and average a goal a game from the right back spot?

Yea I get what ya saying Ivanovic is in good form. Im not saying Azpilicueta will walk into the team but by the end of the year he will probably be Chelsea's first choice RB.

It takes a special player to receive a dangerous play red and not a miss a beat (or a game), ha.
I like Ivan fine at RB but it was still imperative we signed another one. I have no idea if AZpdfiapodigaodi is any good or not just wondering if all these people praising him were actually doing so for any reason other than the fact he's young and Spanish. Like I said if Dandy doesn't even know much about him you have to wonder...

Is it so hard to type Azpilicueta?
