Would the two of you mind starting your own thread and just staying in there? You could just troll each other rather than the whole board. Some of us would like to talk transfer news and have enjoyable discussions about the season ahead.

Best parking the bus pic ever!

Yes he does have nice experience, would you say him at a DM spot is a significant downgrade from CB? I've gathered that he's more natural at CB but has been blossoming into quite a nice DM. I watched most of the match vs Honduras, but was difficult to evaluate him on that alone.
Bayern need something new in the back and Dante is not that, hardly a starter. Good depth guy though, I'm pleased with the pickup.

He's a natural center mid and libero. You're right, he does very well at CB, but this is not the position he was groomed for, rather that which Bielsa likes to use him in.

that would be very nice, we need versatile players in the squad. keeps everyone competing at a high level. the back in general is pretty lack luster right now. who is your club team? i don't think i've ever noticed (sorry if obvious, but not being sarcastic)

Castilla's Joselu to Hoffenheim for €6M. Real has a buy back clause worth 7.5M.

Looks like City is going to have a tough time offloading it's fringe (I use that term loosely) players, due to the insane wages they are on... None of these guys want a pay cut...
I cant say I blame them, but if they want to play, somethings got to give... Either take a pay cut to your actual worth or sit on the bench and keep getting those fat checks...

We are going through the same thing at Arsenal except it is with some our squad players. Too many of them have too big a contract for the quality of player they are(Bendtner, Arshavin, and the like). Team are interested just not in paying them at the rate of their current contract. It's a real headache.

Yeah, we had that problem with Aquilani... basically, most of his transfer fee went to paying off his contract just to move him on and get his wages off the book. Joe Cole is another like that...
City is on another level... Dzeko is on £170,000/wk... While he is a very good player, that would make him the highest paid on most teams in Europe... I think thats been the hold up with them selling Adebayor, too...

Yea they overpaid to get them there as quick as they could so they could win as quick as they could. Now they have guys with 175k+ a week salaries that maybe a handful of team can afford to pay and some of these players are not even close to world class. City and the like are basically ruining football with silly transfer fees driving up prices in the market and even sillier wages which makes players from other clubs(Arsenal) believe that every club can offer them that kind of payment. Then we City wants to replace someone that leaves quality players like Dzeko on the bench with almost no way out because no one can afford their wages.

Wayne Bridge is my favorite example. They're paying that clown like £90k a week. He's a league 1 level fullback.

Arsenal Set to confirm Cazorla transfer
From BBC sport, good source finally + it says "The 27-year-old Spain international will sign a long-term contract for a fee below £15m. "
Amazing value if that number is right.
I think we're sending Miquel back to Malaga for a loan to lower it.
