"EL REY MUNDIAL DE LOS CLUBES"

SMH

frickin' Argentines are hilarious.

What do you expect of half Sicilians, half Andalusians who think they are English?

ETA Then again, Nike may have made that shite up. Wouldn't put it past them. 'Murrika.

They list it as a team nickname on Wikipedia, and several fans use it on the Internet.

They did win three Intercontinental Cups before FIFA turned it into the Club WC.

Cup, yeah, but not really a competition. Nobody has given a shite about it until very, very recently (five years or less). The Argentines and Brazilians have always taken it seriously, whereas Europeans rest players, and if not, play them in preseason form.

I guess that's why they've changed dates and got rid of the Intercontinental Cup.

Oh, I know that, but I'm sure that's their defense for the ridiculous nickname.

Let me see Boca vs. Real/FCB/Bayern/United/Chelsea right now, and we'll see who the best in the mundial.

It's a major Nike type move, but they most assuredly probably didn't even come up with it, they were surely presented with it while in sponsorship negotiations.

The Argentine is a 'unique' creature.

It's the same as Milan wearing "Il Club piu Titolato al Mondo" underneath the club badge.

Milan and Boca have both won 18 international titles, more than anyone else in the world. That's why they flaunt it.

Wut? Let's see a list. Of REAL titles.

Like I said, they have the most international titles. That's why they both claim to be the most successful clubs in the world. It doesn't refer to the total number of trophies won.

I know it's kind of ridiculous. Hell, Milan doesn't even have the most trophies in Italy, yet their website proudly says "The Most Successful Club"

AC Milan is to be respected in my opinion for one thing, the best modern side I've ever seen.

Arrigo Sacchi's 1989/90 edition(s).

This data byte/factoid ought be brought out for all to see on this board (most have never seen this side, and many, never heard of it).

As a Milan fan myself, I appreciate your acknowledgement of that particular team.

Then again, that side was the precursor of the Galacticos and Manchester City.
