Higuain is not average. He fills his role incredibly well. I have preferred Benzema up front, but Higuain is far from average.
Being worse than Rooney is not an insult. A couple years ago, it seemed like only a couple people in the world were better than Rooney.
They are different players. I think everyone here knows that Rooney is versatile, but if you want a guy that finishes chances, then Higuain is a cheaper bet and do that job well.

wouldn't say he's woefully average, but I do think he's the best he could ever be on a team like Real with two creative wingers and a top no 10.
we need creativity in attack. not only do I think Rooney is much better, he's a much better fit for Arsenal.

In all honesty I would probably rather Giroud than Higuain if I'm an Arsenal fan. I know he didn't have a great season, but he is a good player. I do not rate Higuain at all. He can't create his own shot and he's slow as Christmas. He will put the ball in the back of the net a fair amount of times, but I just don't see him being successful on a team that struggles to create consistent scoring opportunities.

Castles is well respected and has good ties to Mourinho. they very well may not be sold, but he isn't making it up.
someone else suggested FFP was at play. can't buy cavani, hulk, jovetic, et al without someone being sold.

I love transfer nonsense. Newest thing I've read has Arsenal abuot to drop 62 million pounds on Lars Bender, Gonzalo Higuain, and Ilkay Gundogan.

Rangers product, right back, really meh. He's 28...been at Tottenham, Aston Villa. Got loaned to Mallorca in January, played a good bit there, I think.
Guess he's pushing for a permanent deal. Midtable/bottom half side starter.
