Apparently Mourinho walked in, dick in hand, and told Lukaku and KDB that they're going nowhere.

This was how I saw it playing out in my head. :homo:
ETA: Seriously though, this makes me happy. I'd be pissed to lose dynamic youngsters to bring in dynamic older players, without giving the former a chance to play.

I honestly don't recall anything about him. I didn't remember him being pathetic or decent, so I went with meh.

that was a given. mourinho's bread and butter was the target man turned all around striker a la drogba. lukaku showed last season that he is much more than a target forward. give him a shot.

Real Madrid has people meeting with Cavani´s people, wherever the hell Uruguay is training at the moment (Uruguay or Brasil, I take it).
I think Naples may end up with this guy (which may become a problem later if he stays healthy and does well), if they don´t get the price tag down.

Some interesting bits from Germany this morning.
Leverkusen is looking to finalize the Son transfer in the coming days. Fiorentina and Gomez have a deal done, but Fio can't come up with the transfer funds and want Bayern to reduce.
Biggest news is that Chelsea could potentially be withdrawin their bid/interest for Schürrle now that's the return of KdB has been confirmed.

BVB should go try to get Schürrle
Posted on 6/11/13 at 11:29 am to hendersonshands
I don't know what BVB is doing this off season. Their UCL run has them linked with everyone on planet earth. They're apparently really interested in Bernard or Bernardinho or some shite like that from Atletico Miniero. Also they've been rumored for the Deflelou kid from Barca. They should buy Son if they know what's good for them.

from what I saw this last season, Son > Schurrle.

I don't think many would argue against that. Schürrle is a good prospect, on a good team from a good soccer nation , so naturally hes hyped more. Son is pretty electric though, he's a year-ish younger so they're practically the same age.

MARCOS SENNA TO MLS!
Damn!
Damn!
quote:
MADRID -- Former Spain midfielder Marcos Senna is leaving Villarreal after 11 seasons and will continue his career in the United States, the newly promoted La Liga club said on Tuesday. Brazil-born Senna, who will turn 37 next month and played 28 times for Spain, made 363 appearances for Villarreal, including 33 this season as the club finished second in the second division to secure promotion back to the top flight. Villarreal did not say which Major League Soccer (MLS) side Senna, who is a massive fan favourite and has a gate named after him at the Madrigal stadium, would be joining. He will give a farewell news conference on Wednesday. Read More: LINK

Might not be to MLS. Seen some reports that this could be the Cosmos first big signing. Doubt it, but we'll see.

OK. So, of what competition will a Cosmos season consist?
Posted on 6/11/13 at 4:32 pm to Dandy Lion
They're about to start playing in the NASL (second-tier).
Posted on 6/11/13 at 10:16 pm to WarSlamEagle
Yep, Spanish press has confirmed it´s the Cosmos.
