Swansea have reportedly made a "serious offer" for Vitesse striker Wilfried Bony (46 goals in 65 apps last year - tops in Holland). Here's to hoping.

Would be a good signing for Swansea.

This guy is going to have to be really good to get me to come around on him.

February 2013 sound byte from Gareth Bale:

quote:

Tottenham forward Gareth Bale says Cristiano Ronaldo is a more ‘complete footballer’ than Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. Tottenham forward Gareth Bale says Cristiano Ronaldo is a more ‘complete footballer’ than Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. The in-form Spurs attacker, who is rumoured to be a transfer target for both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich this summer, has scored 13 Premier League goals so far this season. Asked the question “Messi or Ronaldo?” by Life’s a Pitch, Bale revealed his admiration for Los Blancos’ star. “For me, personally, I’d say Ronaldo,” the 23-year-old Welshman responded. “He’s got the whole package. He’s strong, he’s powerful, he’s pacey, can head the ball, strike the ball. Obviously, you can’t say anything bad about Messi, but for the all-round complete footballer, I’d say Cristiano Ronaldo.” The comments are likely to be taken as a welcome sign by Real Madrid that the Wales international would relish the chance to link up with Ronaldo.

Sounds like somebody wants to play in the Bernabéu.

Hope he goes to Madrid. He basically carried Spuds all of last year. He and Ronaldo on the wings is just scary.

I'd rather the spurs keep him if Madrid plan on paying over 60 million sterling or so.

How long til Carlos quits on Juve?

The real question though is when he does will their fans pathetically welcome him back like City's?

I've probably seen him play about 10 times and never once did anything that impressed me. I have the ultimate trust in Chelsea's scouting team but Shurrle does nothing for me. I don't see how he gets first team minutes on a consistent basis with this squad.

I'd rather it be a loan. The kid has a future.

I'm on the fence about Shelvey, but lean towards selling him with the youth we have coming in and up..

What type of MF is Shelvey? Haven't seen him play much at all.

Box to box midfielder. Best passing range of any U21 player I've ever seen. Has a serious right foot. Pretty creative and good at set pieces, though his contribution to the senior team has been average at best.

Played CF a few times as well as the false nine a couple times last season.
