Can't remember what we paid for him, but I'd take £15 million for him.

Just under 17 million.

Paulinho's weekly wages would also go from 55K a week to 90K a week if this transfer happens.

Manchester United are set for talks with Benfica over forward Nicolas Gaitan, according to the player’s agent. Jose Irribarran told Portuguese paper A Bola a move for the 27-year-old could be on the cards.

“Everything is possible. There’s a negotiation pending with Manchester United.

“The player wants everything to go as smoothly as possible, We’re waiting for an answer from the vice-president. I can’t really say anything else.”

The Paul Pogba rumour mill keeps rolling on, and the latest from The Sun is that Manchester City are winning the race to sign the £60m-rated midfielder.

Lol the Sun making shite up to be relevant. Juve said nothing less than 70+ and every other publication has had him staying, Madrid, Barca or PSG all ahead of City.

Arsenal are getting ready to make a £21.3m bid for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to the Daily Mirror.

The paper says reports in Spain are claiming the Serie A club are willing to sell, and that Chile team-mate Alexis Sanchez has been trying to convince him to make the move.

did his value drop that much in one year

Real Madrid have slapped a huge £64m (90m Euros) price tag on Manchester United target Sergio Ramos, claims AS.

Widespread reports in the UK say United have offered £35m for the defender, but AS claims Real want much more, while also reporting that Louis van Gaal’s side will also offer the Spain international a lucrative five-year deal worth £39m.

A Spanish newspaper reporting on a Chilean player in Italy moving to England? Transfer season in a nutshell.

I'd also much rather Arsenal sign Schneiderlin over Vidal.

UNITED WANT SCHNEIDERLIN

After rumours circulated overnight, Sky sources have confirmed Manchester United are very interested in signing Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton.

The 25-year-old is currently involved in negotiations with Saints over his future and the club is expected to allow him to leave for a fee not under £25million.

Looks like we will have Carrick's replacement.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is set for a medical today ahead of his proposed move to Arsenal, according to Sky sources.

We said earlier in the week the clubs have agreed a £10.9m fee and it looked like the Czech would be undergoing the medical next week, but things appeared to have been brought forward

Liverpool are preparing a £25m bid for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, according to the Daily Mirror.

We reported earlier this week that Sky sources say Villa have yet to receive an offer for the Belgian, who we understand has a £32.5m release clause.

Borussia Dortmund are not willing to part company with Arsenal target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Bild claimed earlier this week the Gunners were readying a bid, but Dortmund general manager Michael Zorc told German publication kicker there will be no exit, although he does expect some other players to leave.

"Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a player of Borussia Dortmund and we do not have any plan to sell him. That's a fact.

“Still we will have players leaving our club this summer. There will be some action in the turn of next week."

quote:

Manchester United will demand a world-record fee for a goalkeeper from Real Madrid for David de Gea.

Old Trafford officials are not concerned by the fact the Spaniard, 24, only has a year left on his contract and can leave for nothing next summer.

They believe the value of keeping De Gea for another year far outweighs any bid below the £32.6m Juventus paid Parma for Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.

Schneiderlin to United maybe not quite as solid as reported yesterday...

Morgan Schneiderlin mulls options amid United, Arsenal interest - sources

quote:

Morgan Schneiderlin is weighing up offers from two Premier League clubs and will make a decision on his future imminently, a source has told ESPN FC.

Schneiderlin, who has said on several occasions he wants to play Champions League football, has been strongly linked with Manchester United and Arsenal in recent weeks.

Sources confirmed to ESPN FC that Arsenal were the first club to register their interest in the France international last month, with United's interest coming at a later date, and although reports suggest a move to Old Trafford is close, the 25-year-old appears to be considering his options.
