re: 2016-2017 TD Premier League Thread

With its sixth pick in the 2016-17 TD Premier League Draft, West Harambe United selects... Joe Hart, goalkeeper, Manchester City.
The wise Harambe knows that it's better to go with the head over the heart, so choosing a Manchester City goalkeeper here is all about the noggin. Hart has double-digits in clean sheets year in and year out, and although he plays for the dastardly blue side of Manchester, he's undoubtedly one of the most productive goalkeepers in fantasy soccer. We're out here to get points.
Also, West Harambe United admits that it's easier to accept the inevitability of Manchester City clean sheets (Hart) than cheer for the possibility of Tottenham clean sheets (Lloris).
May you block shots like you're protecting Harambe from the bullets that led to his untimely demise, Joe.

Well you won't have your sweet baby Courtois this year!
Awesome, he did me no good last year!

He wasn't playing behind 3 CBs in an Italian system....

You could have stopped right there. He was injured for a large part of the season.

I thought I started it with Courtois last year, but I could be wrong.
You did....took him 2 spots ahead of BPG taking Cech. It was Pick 6 of Round 6 (56 overall). Colonel Reb took his keeper on pick 52.

My point exactly. That's not happening again. My boy Court is taking me to the promised land.

:sigh: I don't really want to take a keeper this high....but if I don't with one of these next 2, the rest of you fools may snatch up all the good ones.

Heys guys a couple questions from the 2nd division. What is the time limit on picks? And how strictly is it enforced?

GC suggested eight hours, but we never had an issue. You could always drop St Augustine until he picks and then just shuffle the draft order cause losing your first pick spot is killer.
You could have the thread title say "St. Augustine is on the clock" to make it more obvious.

Technically....there isn't one. I've proposed on a few occasions that we put one in. Most of the leagues i've bene in give an 8 hour window....but the drafts are only like 7 rounds.
