We saw USA play Mexico in a friendly match at University of Phoenix stadium. Game was a tie.

Mexicans in the parking lot acting like they won the damn world cup. Dancing, chanting "Mexico" over and over. Blaring annoying loud Mexican circus music out of their cars. As my husband and I are walking to our car I ask him "Do they realize they didn't actually win?".

We will be very strategic where we park Thursday night so we can GTFO out of there after the match.

I just found out today who was playing. Immediately thought to myself "oh frick" when I saw that Mexico was playing

I think Panama upset Mexico that game. Was that for the 2013 Gold Cup?

Honduras and Mexico absolutely hate each other, so you might get to see some fights on and off the field, if nothing else.

I'm not getting my hopes up for an upset, but you never know. Mexico haven't been convincing these past two games.

Yeah, I remember getting the Bleacher Report update on my phone, like "WTF?! Panama just beat Mexico!". They were so bad in 2013.

The crowd in Chicago for the final went from like 75% Mexican fans to 95% US fans.

I need to go find a US soccer shirt for the game...I'll make sure to find one in a blue color

Has Calderon for Panama caught anything yet? As a goalkeeper, I'm just flabbergasted by his insistence on punching or parrying everything.

About to leave in a little bit to head down to stadium for the two matches tonight.

Obviously I will not be rooting for Mexico(cause frick them) in the last match. For the first match...who should I be rooting for (it's Jamaica vs Canada)?

Mexican fans are some of the most miserable people to have to watch a game with. They throw beer, curse at and expose themselves to children, are incredibly homophobic, and are generally c.unts in and outside of the stadium.

That said, when I went to the 2011 gold cup final and we were outnumbered 10-1 by Mexican fans, there was a small group of Hispanic Americans wearing American jerseys who were chanting "support your home team!" and "don't forget who pays for your food stamps!"

I'm already aware how annoying Mexican fans are. I don't have a US jersey. Couldn't find a US soccer shirt last minute either. But I did find a basic tshirt with the US flag on it and will sport my US men's soccer team scarf.

I want it very clear I show no support for those Mexican frickers

8 minutes before the first match starts and this place looks like a ghost town.

Don't get it, I mean I know many are here to see Mexico. But you paid the same price whether or not you watch one or both matches. Might as well watch both and just enjoy some soccer,

Agree. It's still international soccer. And I take special interest in the smaller Caribbean countries. I played with a lot of Caribbeans. Skill level rates well above population size.

Mexicans are not the most punctual bunch.

This place will be packed by then.

But yeah.....I do feel bad for the first two teams to walk out and see this crowd
Eta: our seats are awesome

Front row lowest section. Look for the blonde chick with bangs wearing a US scarf on the side with the blue gold cup banners near halfway line. That's me
