I’m not sure how defensive stats are done in fantasy soccer, but AWB is such a tackler I can’t imagine he wouldn’t show up well on the fantasy scoreboard.

Clean sheets, assists & goals are pretty much the only positive point categories for defenders.

Dang, would have thought completed tackles or maybe tackle percentage would be in there. If clean sheet is the criteria shouldn’t you just pick any defender off the teams with the most clean sheets then?

That’s why VVD, Robertson, TAA, Walker, Laporte were off so early.
The pairing CB’s with VVD and Laporte were different like every week last year so it’s hard to gauge who to pick, but Stones was probably a good pick.
VVD and the Pool fullbacks are probably the best value due to VVD being an aerial threat and the fullbacks bombard the box with crosses.

I’m not in this league but if scoring is anything like the PL.com fantasy defenders get more points for scoring a goal.

Yep, that’s the scoring system we use. It makes managing this league way easier.
