Neither does Mancini, hence the internal row.

More news on Cazorla and Sahin. LINK and LINK
It surely seems we are really going after Cazorla. Very refreshing to see us so proactive in the transfer market.

Yep. Like I said, doubtful either Manchester splash the cash, rather opting to compete for his signature next season.

Wish the Sahin deal had an option to buy at the end. Really, really like him. Would love to have him permanently.

Totally agree especially with Arteta's age and the fact that Song will have only 1 year left on his contract at the end of the next season and we know how those things tend to go with Arsenal.

If we get Cazorla, and keep RvP, then I'll be really confused going into this season. Our two deep will be on par with every big team, and our attacking talent might rival our 2007-08 squad and our 2009-10 and 2010-2011 squads. A lack of depth killed all those squads.

At striker, we'll have RvP, Giroud, Chamakh, Park, Podolski.

At the wings, we'll have AOC, Gervinho, Arshavin, Walcott, Miyachi, Podolski and Cazorla.

In the midfield, we'll have Coquelin, Song, Frimpong, Arteta, Ramsey, Rosicky, Diaby, Wilshere, and Cazorla.

At CB, we'll have Vermaelen, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Djourou, (all of whom are established internationals) with Bartley, Miquel, and Squillaci in reserve.

At LB, we have Gibbs and Santos. TV5 and Coquelin for emergencies.

At RB, we have Sagna, Jenkinson, Coquelin, and Yennaris.

At GK, we have Szczesny, Fabianski, and Mannone. Obviously we need an upgrade in our back-up keepers.

We won't see all these players in the team, but that is a fairly strong team. Lots of established international players with young players with lots of upside. With a squad of this caliber we have to win something.

Out of all of those players I would say that Park, Arshavin, and Squillaci are all but assured to be sold. And if RVP stays there is a slight chance that Chamakh could be sold or at least loaned out. That being said you are right this is a very deep team and with a good bit of quality players too. Its an exciting time right now to be an Arsenal fan. I agree that this team could and should win something. It is so refreshing to feel optimistic about the upcoming season.

Very true. Only issue is midfield. Wilshere is apparently 8 weeks away from full training. Rosicky's Achilles injury has him sidelined for awhile. Arteta and Diaby are healthy now, but are always question marks. That's why someone like Sahin is crucial.

I hope we do hold onto RvP now. This team has a real chance to win.

Yeah getting Sahin would be really nice. He's better than nearly all our midfield options. I wanted him when he was at Dortmund.

Did anyone see Ramsey at the Olympics? He came on in the second half and he looked faster. His passing was ambitious, though he went backwards a bit at times. He's close to developing a turn like Arteta and Rosicky. He should have had an assist after a nice turn on a throw in. I'm hopeful he can contribute.

I didn't. Hopefully he gets the start in the next match. I think he'll turn it around and be more successful this season.

I watched. Wish I had Glass on speed dial to let him know his boy played well.

Uh oh RVP to ManUre rumors resurfacing. LINK And if RVP doesn't say its at least partly about the $ then he is a bold face liar. 220k a week is ridiculous.

I think he just showed signs of exhaustion last season. He had a very positive start to the year, and then faded fast as his first full season since returning from shawcross dragged on and squad injuries forced him to play more than he should have.

Yea saw that. Maybe the Olympics can be a springboard to helping him regain his pre-injury form.
