We ARE going to play low blocks every week, he HAS to adapt to that and figure out how to be useful. Wrestle fighting with CBs ain't the play in that situation
The point I'm making is Eddie would be suffocated against low blocks is all. Of course Vik has to do better. I just found it slightly insulting that you compared Eddie to him. I'm not hating your other points.
The argument I will make tho is that Trossard and Eze and maybe Calafiori are the only 2 on the team constantly looking for Gyokeres runs. Our captain refuses to take big risks, Saka is saka and has a green light understandably so, Martinelli is well you know Martinelli, and Zubi can be risk averse.
Yes your points are valid but losing the number battle in midfield fricked us today. Merino in the false 9 could have helped. Oh well we move on

I hope you're right, just feels like a huge missed opportunity to stake a place.
I hope it doesn't bleed over into other games.
As silly as it is, I want this group to win the Carabou to give them a taste of SOMETHING before it actually matters
I'd be fine if they played us off the park and we got a draw, or we dominate and they equalize off a howler, it's just the manner that game went, I hate it with every fiber in me. Just a gutless performance from a bunch of guys & coach that have a tendency to melt when the going gets tough.

And why must we never play Eze/Rice/odegaard midfield? Especially playing a low block and needing a goal?
The lineup decisions are baffling sometimes

I'll take a Carabao win as long as Arteta uses the B team to win it. Could be some great games for Kai to see some action. I am excited for him to come back. The only problem is his finishing is arse

He needs to come back ASAP, we need to get on the 23-24 run in to win this thing

That would be amazing. 14 wins from 15

They showed the push over and over but never replayed the crawl back onto the pitch that prompted it. It will shithousing that started and of course the retaliation was punished!

2 of 9 pts from the City & Pool games this year
Completely unacceptable from this bunch. Not much more to say.
Hopefully they turn up for Chelsea in the semi & Forest after

This is great, he just has to start having more goal contributions like we know he can. I don't think he's been doubled up as much this season. We need him to take it up a level if we want to close out this season with a PL title and our first ever Champions League title

Yeah his shooting has been very off this season. And really since he's come back from the surgery

3 non penalty goals.
Its not just gyokeres struggling.
I think people forget that season it worked so well with Jesus was because Saka, Martinelli and Odegaard all had double digit goals. We haven't been that team in years. No excuse for us not to be able to play differently than 2023. Jesus has never been a goal scorer, so if we are going to play with him, everyone else needs to start scoring more.

read that our boys next 4 matches are @Portsmouth, @ chelsea, @ Forrest, and @Milan
First time a top side club has done 4 away matches in 4 different competitions across 10 days
absolutely ridiculous schedule
Really intrigued how Arteta is going manage the lineups for each match

I hope we full rotate for tomorrow. Go hard for Chelsea & Forest and rotate against Milan

I need more Ben white on the RHS. Having Saka shackled to the touchline and Timber in the dangerous areas is not our best chance of scoring. Timber just isn't as creative of a passes as Ben is and it kills us against these low block teams

How funny is it going to be if we win the league by beating the average teams and not doing as good against the big 6; where in the past three years when we came in second we did great against the big 6 and dropped points against those average teams.

Just give me full strength at Forest and at Inter to clinch first place in the champions
Our backline will be stretched thin yet again

Kepa
White
Norgaard
Gabriel
MLS
Merino
Nwaneri
Eze
Madueke
Martinelli
Jesus
10/11 rotated positions works for me. Hopefully Nwaneri can win some minutes with a good performance today. Looking for MLS to be more sharp as well

Also, this is what I was talking about with Vik, he's been so poor that when he isn't scoring goals he's a complete non factor
