At least there has to be a winner at the end of every single professional baseball game.

Maybe if the Braves had a minor league team close, but I don't care about the White Sox. And AA is an average product.

Just depends I guess. The Barons could become a fun team to watch in the next couple of years because of how much Chicago has bolstered their minor leagues over the last couple of years.
A lot of the time young guys who are well thought of prospects will go straight from AA to the majors. AAA is a lot more fringe guys than top prospects now.

Wish Louisisna would get a team. Somewhere like Lafayette would be so awesome.

Yeah, I doubt we'll ever see an MLS team in Louisiana, but I'll gladly support a USL team here. With the right marketing (better than the Jesters and Capitals, at least), South Louisiana could absolutely support a USL team. Tons of Hondurans in NOLA and enough of us gringos to form a substantial following. Hope it happens one day.
There are successful USL clubs in small places like McAllen, Texas, so there's no reason South Louisiana can't support one if it's done right. There's almost no Varsity men's soccer in LA thanks to Title IX, so a pro team wouldn't even have to compete with college soccer for attention.

You're insane. The Barons and Regions Park are awesome. It's one of the best minor league venues and consistently ranks in the top in attendance through out the country. The Barons are only several years removed from winning the damn Southern League title.
I'm excited about having a USL team here. I've said for years that Bham could support a pro soccer team easily. I hope they can get a stadium built downtown somewhere. It'd be great if it was near Regions Field, but I have a feeling they will try and spread the wealth around town.

Get rid of railroad park and put it there
I'd love to watch the Birmingham coffee sipping, yoga classing, beanie wearing population riot
