Damn it. Feels like MLS will never win this tournament. This had to be the year. We’re getting better but it’s never good enough.
Delgado had his Wondo moment there. He scores that and TFC are champions. Really TFC lost this in the home leg. Did a great job today, but can’t afford to lose 1-2 at home.
MLS will never win until the salary cap increases higher. Needs to be at least double what it is now, so hopefully progress is made at the next CBA negotiations after the 2019 season. At least teams like Toronto are ambitious and trying to win.

That could have been one of the worst PKs I’ve ever seen, at any level. And it didn’t look like his plant foot slipped. WTF?

This year was a massive improvement over years past. MLS will win one sooner or later. Most MLS teams having 1/3 the salary of most LigaMx teams isn't helping the situation, though.

The salary cap is still really hindering MLS teams’ ability to compete. Toronto is one of the biggest spenders in MLS, but even their starting XI was thin at the back due to injuries. Bradley and van der Wiel had to play center back tonight, and neither one is a natural CB.
MLS will never win consistently against Liga MX until our teams have better depth. That will only happen as roster spending increases. TAM has helped a lot, but more is still needed for us to make that next step. This year was significant progress, but we still haven’t won the damn thing.

They were missing something like 5 CBs. I don't care how much money you have, few teams have more than 5 CBs.

If we're talking about just winning the tournament, you don't have to win consistently.
