Enter SCH's reply of, "Well, the naming rights for the stadium and shirt sponsor!?!"

Why aren't you raising a fuss about Leicester and their owners sponsoring both the stadium and shirt?

People only give a crap when whomever they're complaining about is a direct threat to them.

You really want to go down that road of why it happened and how your "sponsor" tried to go way higher than the market value.

I don't think people are ok with Leicester either but then again its only 4 million a year....

I will admit, at the time the shirt sponsor did seem and was high, but now it's already been researched and found that City's kit deal and shirt sponsorship are both well below market value.

But that's primarily because of Chelsea and United getting fricking paid.

How so? City have not won that much since the take over. Are not a world wide brand, and struggle to sell out their stadium. 40 million is about right for the limited success of the club when comparing to other clubs its still gets more than.

Bc they are two of the biggest brands in the world. Champions league winning clubs that have won the league more than City....

Compared to the giants, no. But to say the club's brand hasn't grown exponentially since 2011 is just dumb.

It still isn't a big enough brand to warrant a shirt sponsor deal bigger than Arsenal or Liverpool but yet they have one.

I'd just like to point out the hilarity of the disconnect between DS's posts in this thread (and other QSG threads) and his poli-board posts.

They've achieved twice as much as both of those clubs over the last decade. The only reason that's important is because of the growth of social media and the ability for anyone to watch a game anywhere in the world.

City still has decades to catch up to either club and both are more popular in the social media world

The only place City has a chance of being more popular is in the Middle East

No clue what PSG's financials were the last two years, but City was in the green..

You mean in the black

United was the only club to make more profit than them in 15-16.

False again, Spurs made more profit as well. City operating in the black once or twice won't be a trend until it the club is self sufficient

stop believing everything on the city sub Reddit

PSG makes money but has several very large deals with Qatari companies

Deals ruled that can't be used as income when profits are determined.

The fact that PSG is owned by the Qatar government as well as every major company in the country due to its laws. That's going to look shady bc it is false revenues.

Under the bogus FFP regime, but that doesn't change the fact that PSG have these contracts.

The biggest conspiracy theory of all is the idea that UEFA passed legislation for reasons other than personal enrichment
