Dele Alli had a welcome to the big leagues game today. Croatia really played him physical. Thought Rakitic was going to beat him up.
England has a solid team.
Croatia and France should be an awesome game.

Now that was what people have wanted from Croatia for several years. They finally showed the talent and skill they have.
France is just 2 good. just so deep at every position.

French definitely more dangerous up top, although they haven’t showed it a lot.

Just got to watch the second half.
Good freaking God.
Rashford was abysmal once he came on. Thought his legs against some tired Croatian defenders would be a weapon but he wasn’t making runs and lost the ball about every time he touched it.
Wonder if that was a Southgate move, tactics wise to not have him attack the back line or what, but what a horrible move that turned out to be.
Also, the fact Lovren was still on the field is incredible. Probably three yellow-card offenses in the first half alone.
Modric has a a brass set of balls and I’m happy for him to make it to a final. Dude has been stellar this tournament.

What?
England ruined my fricking birthday. frick Kane for shooting instead of passing to Raz.
At least Raz being selfish didn’t cost him team a World Cup Final.

Nah dog. I don’t mind Croatia, but I wanted it to come home.

Didn’t they call Kane offside anyway? Even though he was miles on
48% of goals this WC have come from set pieces, might be more after the semi final, so England scoring a lot more from set plays than open play isn’t too surprising.
I thought Southgate made some errors in his decisions last night, I thought we should have gone 4-3-3 a lot earlier, kept Sterling on and brought RLC on with Young(who was very poor) and Alli off.
I’d say the Ox would have improved our midfield over Lingard, but at the end of the day, our best performance in 22 years, most of our starters will still be under 30 next time around and we have a lot of successful youth teams to develop. They massively over performed here and I think the Euros is there for the taking

Where the official raised his flag it looked like he was signaling Lingard offsides in case the Kane shot came across the goal to him. Not sure how the commentators never picked up on that over 5+ replays.
I don't know why everyone was so surprised that Croatia players werent still tired from their last game. I get that it increases the chances of an injury, but i dont really see why you would expect it to have a big affect on stamina. I'm sure a ton of you played high school soccer, where you were expected to play 3 80 minute games in a single day sometimes, and often times 5 or more during a single weekend. I know the tackles are a lot harder at this level, but the running/jogging can't be that much more intense.
