They changed this after it happened to Tottenham (lol), now if that situation occurs again the 4th place team doesn't get bumped.

Well they changed it since then,but the 4th place team can still miss out.

Only 5 teams from one league can qualify for an European competition.

So, if both the CL and EL winners are from England, and both finish out of the top 4, then the 4th placed team misses the Champions League.

Not sure how. Their offical Twitter account said they were rooting for United because a United win got them into the UCL.
