Wes apparently said forearm cramps, so we may have dodged a rather large bullet.

Useless shite only I think of for $100 Alex.
IIRC, softball infields are all dirt. Obviously, a minor league baseball park has a grass infield. The SEC softball tournament will be held during the minor league baseball season. Are they going to rip out the infield grass for softball and then reinstall it for Trash Panda games? I can't think the team would be too happy with that.
Of course, it could be a turf field and all this musing above is irrelevant.

re: Virginia Governor Abigail signs bill into law giving all electoral college votes to winner

I would argue there is no national popular vote tally. States have different voting standards and to have a true, accurate national popular vote count you would need a uniform national set of voting standards (laws), which is unconstitutional since states set election laws. We’d all need to play (vote) by the same rules.
I also think getting the Congress to pass the law need to allow states to enter into compacts with other states would be near impossible.

re: Average score for masters champ since 1990 is -11. Why do we say its an impossible course?

I think the whole “starting on the green” is being misconstrued a bit. Every time I’ve had the discussion with folks, it meant to me that the player has hit the green in regulation and is putting for birdie. I wouldn’t bet against a low single digit amateur golfer laying zero on the green doing enough to shoot a winning score. Putting for birdie every hole? A very different story.

I think this board underestimates the gap between good, above average, excellent, and even scratch golfers, and the guys on the PGA Tour.
Most of the regular golf board guys know this, but I’ll give you my golf CV. Played D1 golf, then minitours and finally as a club professional. Qualified for a US Open and multiple (now) Korn Ferry Tour (Hogan Tour in my day- the mid 90s) events. I’ve seen the difference firsthand; the gulf between a plus handicap amateur and even a mini tour player is Grand Canyon wide.

It’s tough. It’s not oakmont
I've played both. ANGC is harder on the greens to me than Oakmont is. The slopes, ridges and humps are more pronounced and if you let me put the ball on the green for most amateur golfers to putt for birdie at ANGC, they're walking off with at least a bogey, especially if you let me put the hole locations in the toughest spot on each green. I never felt like Oakmont had putts on greens that were impossible to get within 15-20 of the hole: I can find putts like that on every green at ANGC.

The simple truth is that his hairline issues exist because he is paid a shite ton of cash to constantly wear a baseball cap. Tiger looked similar at that age, as well as myself (although I didn't get paid near what they did to wear my Titleist cap).

Well this is interesting.
Andoni Iraola announced he is stepping down at Bournemouth after the season. Supposedly on the United shortlist. I wouldn’t hate it if he became the guy.

Lots of folks like to poo poo it but Rory has 21 wins on the DP World (nee European) Tour as well. More professional wins than FIGJAM. I’d argue he is the greatest European player ever.

Telecast showed the angle from the dugout area and it looked to me in the frame by frame replay that his left hand came off the base briefly as he slid over second. Given that the fielder held the tag the entire play, that would make him out.

OK, so we'll take a repeat of last year's national championship match where UGA beat Texas A&M.

We were averaging 8+ ypc against the Ole Miss D and quit running it. Who else on the staff but Bobo makes that decision? And yes, he should be criticized for it.

My 6.7L diesel F250 Super Duty would tow that comfortably. I don’t think you’d need the 350 dually.

Westover HS is an Albany school and the location looked like Doublegate Country Club in Albany. It was a slightly educated guess on my part.
