Rússia had a great game plan. They neutralised Costa, and ha harassed Asensio enough that nobody kept looking for him with the ball.

Yeah and if you don't use wingers, try to play a few long balls from your center halves, see if you can pull the defense out a bit. Russia is perfectly happy to see Pique Ramos and Koke pass in a triangle all game.
