These threads always turn into that giving someone shite a bout picking a team. Every. single. time.
OP, the standard answer is try just watching some games throughout the season and you'll naturally start to gravitate towards specific teams and go from there. Who cares who you pick. Basically everyone here just picked their club anyway so who cares as long as you feel attached to them

What are Liverpool fans deluded about? It’s one of the best sides in Europe. Any expectation is attainable and fathomable
It’s just funny to me how LFC is “beneath” the elite until it comes to threads like this

Wolves would be a good bandwagon to hop on. They’ll be up for a while

We could use another wolves fan to go along with our current contingent.

Pick a player you enjoy watching in the cup and check out their team. That’s what I did. Even if you don’t like the players team, you might like a team they play against and start watching them.

That’s a sports fan thing, not a Liverpool thing. It’s painting with a broad brush at that, our supporters here will call a spade a spade all the time. You notice it when it happens because you hate Liverpool. We’ll see and hear what we want to see and hear

Clearly tons of sports fans do it,
But its been a clear and well defined narrative over the course of history Liverpool fans do it more
Don't get your panties in a wad about. Its a common thing with football supporters to know Liverpool has its reputation for it.
You already did it in this thread making shite up, saying people said Liverpool is below the elite.

Why choose a team from an inferior league?
Real Madrid is the correct answer.

Pick Wolves
In EPL, have an owner wanting to win, a good coach, and some players who are pretty good. They can build off their Championship win.
They also have a cool logo

My advise is to either 1) pick a team your friends like so you have someone to celebrate/commiserate with, or 2) pick the rival of your friends team so you can have some banter.
Two of my best friends are United and Liverpool supporters. It makes for some good fun. I have a running bet for the last five or six years with the United fan that whomever's team finishes lower has to buy the other guy a jersey of his choosing. This bet has worked out well for me.
