its not common in the WC or in soccer in general to have a score line from other matches always going

Can’t really say what’s common in WC since it’s handled by different carriers once every 4 years, and how many other soccer tournaments are based on simultaneous group matches to determine who moves on?

I get it doesn’t happen in normal league play, but it would be quite convenient in this instance.

ESPN didn't do it when they had it for many years

do you even European champions league or Europa league?

Other networks around the world don't have a running score line either

I'm pretty sure that when ESPN did the World Cup that Darke made a habit of warning viewers before giving other scores or standing updates in case they had recorded those games to watch at another time. I don't remember whether other commentators did the same.

Nigeria's technical ability is just so poor. Their 1st touch, final pass, dribbling, shooting it's all lacking. They have chances, but keep ruining them with lack of ability.

Shot that goes out for a throw in, case in point

Did the commentator just say Argentina would be executed if they don't win tonight?

"They are certainly executing today.... they will be if they don't win tonight."
