I've essentially given up on MLS (Portland have alienated me)

In a development that will surprise literally none, the political histrionics at Timbers matches now definitely overshadow the goings on of the pitch. Also, several of the PDX players are actively promoting far left / communist ideals which is a yuge red line for me.
I have been selling my ducats for a tidy profit, so all is not lost. I've also been quietly enjoying a relatively down year (although the fans don't seem to mind as much as they do in other sports - they just waive their black flags and rainbow flags and consume their soy).
Soccer is just too left wing for me, at least in the States. I'll stick to me beloved Chelsea and me Dynamo Kiev for now. Young Kolya still hasn't come through with my much anticipated Azov Battalion swag (far right ultras supporting Dynamo) but I am seeing their uncle next month in Seattle and he's supposed to have me patch and flag (they don't do scarves apparently).

That's the cultural divide - I am not a southerner so I seem "fancy" to you lot. In my homeland, even UKIP lads listen to Coldplay, wear skinny jeans, and are known to enjoy a sparkling aperitif before supper.
