There are many potential answers to that question, but not making America your backup plan is a good start.

Any particular reason you didn't use pictures of Aron Johannsson playing for the Iceland U-21s or Mix Diskerud playing for Norway's U-19s?

(While Mix isn't in the picture anymore, they were both on the last World Cup roster, and Johannsson's last call-up was the same as Julian Green's.)

Or do those two fake Americans have special status in your eyes?

Don't know much about Mix but while Aron is definitely not a real American he is the opposite of those other guys. He's basically a reverse Rossi.

If you were a true American, you'd play in the American league.

So then the Americans that play in the American league aren't true Americans? Got it.

What about guys like Johannsson, Mix, and now Saief, they chose to play for the US over lesser teams, does that make them American?

Most of them wouldn't be in America if they had better options elsewhere. Many tried and failed. With that said I'm glad they came back to America instead of sticking around some similar European league like the Belgian league or something.

No, it doesn't. Not at all. Like I said, AJ is basically an Icelandic Rossi and it's silly he's even eligible to play for America.

Failure isn't the American way.

It's silly that a guy born in Mobile, Alabama is eligible for the American team?

To foreign parents who were only here temporarily anyway and then took him back home to raise him? Yes, that's silly.

If the Icelanders come and conquer the land then it can be theirs.

Also, how did that foreign invasion work out for the natives?

Nonsense. I think SCH's consistent spelling and grammar make him more American than the rest of us.
