I'm sure the players will be plenty angry after being forced to play a new formation in the first game of the hex. But yeah, I'm sure playing angry will totally make up for the lack of actual tactics when we go to play in a place where we've never won a competitive match before.

After Friday’s 2-1 loss in Columbus, Ohio, the 52-year-old manager averted normal coach speak by calling for his players to develop a sense of urgency and “play angry.” The Americans could use every edge they can get given their 0-8-1 all-time record in competitive fixtures played in Costa Rica.

Tactical changes from Mexico game:
1) Play angry
2) Express ourselves more

I mean, if his normal "program" has them doing this at times (so that its properly channeled), that would be fine...
but playing emotionally is a good way to get killed ala Germany vs. Brazile at the last world cup.
And I don't trust this coaching staff to have given actual tactical advice about how to channel this into energy as a unit rather than running around and leaving a whole bunch of open space.
