As a kid that grew up idolizing the GOAT American, frick LD for this.
This is sport, not politics. You can hate the team and like the people there. This has absolutely nothing to do with “how we treat Mexicans” in the US.

Ever since we didn’t qualify for the World Cup, I’ve really resented all the main guys involved in the team in the last 8 years (altidore, Bradley, Dempsey, etc.). Ever since their effort in their (failed) qualification seemed to be non-existent and pulisic was the only guy giving a shite. But I still liked Landon cause he gave us so many good memories.
But this shite is too much. I’m ready for our new generation.

Honestly, a lot of the new generation probably doesn't hate the Mexican as much as our old generation... They grew up during a time where the rivalry was very tame, almost manufactured in some ways, as opposed to the previous couple of generations who grew up during a time in the 90's, early 2000's when the Mexico/US rivalry was a fricking war on the pitch every time they faced off.
