Okay I've changed my mind. Both Kolorav and Zaba have to go.

Demi coming on for Fernandinho. Pellegrini waving the white flag.

Lol today was perhaps the worst I've ever seen the team play. Kelechi and Nasri only ones trying

So clear our intentions with the team selection though.

You speak too kindly to Nasri. He was terrible. He wouldn't make a decision on the ball. Constantly just sat there and let Southampton take it off his feet. Same with Delph and Fernandinho. Bony was shite again. Though he did toward the end look like the old Swansea player. His complete lack of effort for this team is a shame. I have no idea why we don't let Sterling play to his strength and try to get him behind the defense.

The team simply refuses to pass the ball over the top of defenders. Every time a player thinks about making a run, we pass it to the feet of a guy with 5 players behind him. I have to think the players just simply lack confidence to make a quality pass. There is no other explanation unless Pellegrini is telling them to play this way, which I just can't believe is true. It's certainly not how we've played in previous seasons.

Also please go rewatch the first Mane goal and watch Kolarov's defending and effort. LINK

1) Receive ball
2) Shield ball
3) ??????
4) Lose ball

He wasn't that good today at all.

Delph was invisible. I usually give Dinho the benefit of the doubt but he was poor. Not bad enough to sub off the MDM but bad.

I feel like this is just understood now. He's shite. He makes Yaya look like a friggin' work horse. So lazy.

Frustrating. He doesn't fit what Manuel wants to do. He's at his best when we put the ball at his feet when he's in motion and he takes players on. Playing him like Navas is absurd.

"Defending"
"effort:

He's such shite. As long as Clichy is healthy he doesn't need to see the field.

I have to agree with the other two. Nasri was shite. The whole team, save Nacho, was shite. Otamendi had moments, as did the Ferns, but overall, it was an awful performance.

Made club history. Would have been great to have made the final, but it leaves something else to work towards.

Great season in the UCL. At least we can say we're the only EPL team that's done shite in the UCL recently.

I assume that they're still concerned about Sterling's fitness because, if not, playing Yaya was a worthless decision. I'm going to give Pellegrini the benefit of the doubt here, even though I probably shouldn't.

It was. I'm disappointed in a lot of things from today's match, and that leaves me with an awful feeling even though this was a good run from City.

Still it's a big improvement from previous seasons, which is admittedly a low bar to cross.

Yeah, gotta start somewhere though. At least now we've made an impact in the competition. Hopefully, if we even make it, we can do well again.

If his name wasn't Yaya Toure, he'd have played fewer games than Delph this season.

Jesus the downvoting lurker in here is a pro. I've just started upvotimg every single post to cancel him out.

Moving onto Arsenal, is there a soul in here that thinks we can take three points?

No. And I'm usually a pessimist when it comes to Arsenal. But we both got our asses handed to us by Southampton so who knows.

What's up OG City fans?
Haven't really been on this board in a few years or TD...just started back.

City were shite yesterday, but it has a lot to do with Pellers game plan: absorb pressure like a tampon and hope it doesn't break. His Semi-Final score record is (0-1, 0-0) and now (0-0, 0-1). "The Engineer" is anti-free flowing football in big matches.

Sell list:
Yaya
Yaya
Yaya
Yaya
Otamendi
Mangala
Zabaleta (love him, but he's done)
Kolorav
Bony
Bony
shite Bony
Piece of shite Bony

Buy list:
2 CBs
2 LBs
1 RW
1 LW
2 Forwards

Welcome back old friend.
You're actually the reason I first stopped lurking and made myself a profile. I couldn't believe there was another City fan on the old Pre-Soccer Board MSB.

Considering City's MO this season has been to be complete shite, and then be pretty awesome. Anything is possible. That said, City's record against the Top Half says, absolutely not. Probably won't even get a point. United could be within 1 pt with a game in hand. So we've got that going for us.
