Big day of qualifying in CONCACAF and UEFA today. USA game as usual will have its own thread here.

All Times CDT

CONCACAF - Matchday 3
So, yeah, about those first two games. USA would do well to get at least four of these next six, so a home tie against Honduras might be what the doctor ordered. Just don't frick it up.

The Mexico-Costa Rica game could be a juicy one as well. frick all this for happening way past my bedtime. At least it's not a school night.

Trinidad & Tobago - Panama, 6 p.m. (beIN)
Mexico - Costa Rica, 7:50 p.m. (FS1)
USA - Honduras, 9:50 p.m. (FS1)

UEFA - Matchday 5
This will mark the halfway point of European qualifying and there are a couple of good ones on the books with Ireland-Wales and Croatia-Ukraine.

Group D

Wales going to try to break a string of three successive draws to try to get back in the top two hunt. Ireland two points clear after three straight wins. Georgia-Serbia could potentially have flares.

Georgia - Serbia, noon (ESPN3)
Austria - Moldova, 2:45 p.m. (ESPN3)
Ireland - Wales, 2:45 p.m. (ESPN3)

Group G

Fairly uneventful (or should be) set of ties in Group G. Israel have rolled off three straight wins against the minnows in the group but should get their egos checked by Spain. Also, Fox choosing Italy-Albania over Ireland-Wales is comical.

Italy - Albania, 2:45 p.m. (FS2)
Liechtenstein - Macedonia, 2:45 p.m. (FS2Go)
Spain - Israel, 2:45 p.m. (ESPN3)

Group I

Croatia-Ukraine might be my favorite game of the day. Top two teams in the group, plenty of talent to go around, and you might just get to see rogue Croatian fans sabotage their own team. Always riveting stuff. Iceland ready to bounce back into contention away to Kosovo. #TNBhoytriggered

Turkey - Finland, noon (FS2)
Croatia - Ukraine, 2:45 p.m. (FS+)
Kosovo - Iceland, 2:45 p.m. (ESPN3)

frick yeah, full slate of intriguing matches in Europe to get day drunk. Georgia-Serbia could be sneakily entertaining to start us off.

Probably won't watch any of the CONCACAF matches though

Do I pull for the non-state or the state that just celebrated eugenics?

Definitely some flares.

And some anti-Russian banners and chanting.

Most Croatian fans see massive corruption between the Croatian FA and the ownership of Dinamo Zagreb. Many Croatian fans (including fans of Dinamo Zagreb) have started to sabotage both the FA and Dinamo Zagreb. You'll see flares, explosives, Nazi salutes, swastikas, racist banners, pitch invasions, etc., from these groups in order to try to get UEFA/FIFA to step in and act.
