LAFC don’t look like an expansion team at all. Could be the Vegas Golden Knights of MLS.
Their front 3 is terrifying, and the rest of the team is experienced role players.
Galaxy defense looking like last season.

They are the prime MLS 3.0 poster boy
Other news teams have been hits but they have young SA DPs, Mexican superstar, proven manger and an amazing SSS about to open.
That and they play in LA proper, their support in the long run will be better than the Galaxy.

Does their stadium open at some point this season?

Yeah, I think April 29th is their home opener.
DC’s opens in June, and Minnesota’s opens next year.

Man, I wish ours wasn't in Bridgeview, Illinois... frick whoever made that decision...

Probably won’t happen, but I hope Sigi says “frick it,” and puts on Zlatan for the entire second half. Rest of the team isn’t doing anything threatening right now.
Give the people what they want, Siegfried.

Yeah, a lot of MLS 1.0 teams (Rapids, Fire, Dallas, Crew, Red Bulls even LA Galaxy) have stadiums in bad locations, mostly in suburbs 10+ miles from Downtown.
MLS teams back then didn’t have the leverage for SSS in prime urban real estate. Twenty years later, things have changed.
I think Dallas’ Frisco stadium will pay off in the long run as that area develops dramatically, but their attendance will suffer in the meantime. But yeah, think how much better Fire attendance would be with a stadium actually in Chicago.
I read even NYCFC are making progress in a stadium deal in NYC. Would be hilarious if they got that done before Beckham’s Miami team. I hope that happens, as long as their attendance is the same or better than it is at Yankee Stadium.

Zlatan is warming up. Let’s hope he comes on.

While having the National Soccer HOF at Toyota Stadium will likely keep them there for at least 10 more years I'm not sure that FCD will stay in Frisco in the long run. The city of Frisco owning the stadium and land around it will surely become an issue at some point.

The United stadium is in a great location that’s already been proven works with the Nats stadium

My long term dreams for FC Dallas would be that they get a new SSS in Dallas, and that Toyota Stadium becomes the home of a USL affiliate in Frisco. FC Dallas might not want to do that with how much they’ve invested in their academy facilities in Frisco.
It sucks, because Dallas are a model MLS team in every way expect having a poor stadium location.
