Backe is an underachiever. I will say that Chivas has passed on A LOT of players in the past. But, I think they have some decent players and Califf and Agudelo is a good direction to go into.

Also, the Califf to Chivas deal has been finalized. Philly gets Mike Lahoud and $$$.

Juan needed to gtfo of New York though. Backe clearly wasn't that high on him.
He wasn't getting much playing time even with Henry out due to injury. Not sure why most of the board seems to want him to stay in New York and sit on the bench.

It's not that I wanted him to stay in NY. But fricking Chivas?

I think it's because everyone hates Chivas.

It has nothing to do with playing time.

Chivas is a team full of Mexican spies. Or something like that.

Exactly, they are out to get us.

They give playing time to players like Bornstein........

Bornstein gets a lot of PT. Does decent against MLS competition...Top half MLS player warrants a international call up from pressure of MLS......Bornstein makes Gold Cup roster. Cherundolo gets hurt. Bornstein comes in. Bornsteain fricks the US. Mexico wins Gold Cup and gets Confederation Cup berth.

DOES EVERYONE SEE HOW IT WORKS, NOW !?

Man I really need to watch more MLS ( probably not said often, but it is sincere)

Ives tweeted that agudelo initiated the trade discussions, looks like he noticed the drop in PT. whatever gets him on the field progressing is fine with me, hate the idea of chivas, but hopefully he will flourish

I wouldn't blame Juan for wanting to get out of MLS now.

His agent should be blowing up the phone for a move to Holland.

No team in the Netherlands is going to pay what MLS will demand for a 19 year old USA international striker. Remember, Jozy went for about $10 million at the same age. I believe he's signed to a long term generation addidas contract as well.

Not the eredivisie wouldn't be a perfect fit for Juan at this stage but I dont see it happening.

Agudelo still has time to move. He needs to play, as it is still unclear what type of striker he is supposed to be.

Agreed. Playing time is the most important thing for Juan right now.

If we don't sign Paddy, I'm going to lead the protest to remove Nowak. You can only piss off the fanbase so many times...

Hopefully, he'll be very good at small spaces and a straight finisher. That'd be nice to play off of Jozy. The US, lately, has been better in a 4-4-2 than anything. But, we have different pieces of the puzzle now since JK has been here.

It's sad that we don't seem to work well in the 4-2-3-1 considering that's what suits us bet as far as our stable of midfielders and dearth of forwards.
