Yeah he literally just asked if anyone should be okay with a player being removed from the team for bashing someone she disagrees with...

That freedom is for her as a citizen, not as a member of the national team. Rapinoe violated that freedom when she mixed the two and brought politics to the national team. Just like you aren't allowed to criticize the President in the military, the standard should be the same on any national team. If you can't meet that standard than you should not be on the national team, end of story.
Being on the national team is a privilege, not a right. Rapinoe has no respect for that privilege.

Her rights as a citizen end the minute she puts on that jersey. Just like the rights of a football player end the minute they put on their helmet. They represent their country or their team, not themselves. Rapinoe has forgotten that.
You think I can just go to work and start spouting stuff out? I'd be fired and for good reason. My rights and freedoms as a citizen end the minute I clock in and go on company time. I am representing the company at that point, not myself.

I wouldn’t compare sports to the military
Also I don’t think she’d be benched or left off the team of any other country
She ain’t that great anymore but is much better than any other country’s midfield choices

Not that great? She's an absolutely fraud. How many of her goals have actually come legitimately and not via a penalty kick? That's the only way she can score, when it's practically given to her. Almost any semi decent athlete could score in that scenario.

Froman they don't represent America at all. They actively hate 50 percent of this country (all of us who voted for Trump). They don't represent me at all and a true USA team would try to represent everyone, not just the people they agree with politically.
