Whatever. Been a City fan for a few years now. Was too nervous to post in this thread.

What, do we scare you or something? Too nervous?

Yes, during the 2008-2009 Premier League season after the World Cup. Had a friend in my study hall class who followed the EPL really closely and he got me involved.

Wasn't going to cheer for any of the big four I decided. I liked City and Aston Villa at first, but started to cheer more for City because my friend liked the other.

That worked out.

I was puzzled at their exclusion as well. Darke said the TV audience was 650 million. That is absurd.

World Cup was in 2006. (And 2010.)

Oh, and the takeover happened in August 2008.

I don't understand that to be honest. City is bad for the game.

What I don't get is them being called the Yankees of football. City has at one point, in 4 years, outspent 25 years worth of Ferguson ball. I mean, yeah, they win, but it's not United's fault that they apparently have the technology to keep Scholes and Giggs out there being lead by marionette strings. Not to mention, Wayne Rooney was going bald at 17 so he was playing with the experience of a 30 year old then.
