Ream and Goodson aren't awful, I think they just need to get used to playing with each other. Gooch can barely move.

Onyewu has, though he probably would have been effective in this game. He's so slow right now.

It's time to cap Mwanga.

Think Mwanga has another year or two to get citizenship, but we can slow-play him. He's not going to play for anyone else.

Jay DeMerit is a better center back NOW than Tim Ream. Maybe not, in two years, but right now.

Discuss.

I watched Goodsen in the 2009 Gold Cup and wasn't impressed with him. As for Ream, it seems like he has good skills with the ball, but he is just not a good defender, won't block shots, not overly fast or physical, etc.

He blocked plenty of shots against Canada. He's not as physical as Gooch for sure

The team that started against Ghana wins this game tonight. Clark, Findley, Bornstein included.

True or False?

False, probably. Neither Donovan nor Dempsey showed up tonight, for the record.

Jones' laziness and Ream's inexperience cost us the game tonight.

Thank God Clark was not called up to this tournament. Bob loves having one midfield destroyer at all times although our destroyers are basically just players with no skills on offense and are just as bad as our creative guys at defending.

I am not sure what Jermaine Jones was pissed about tonight. He was once a very good player, but I wonder if the long lay-off from his broken shin has really limited him as well.

Sounds familiar. I can't comment on anything substantial from the game. Too mad/tipsy to make any sound judgments.

I thought Dempsey was our best player in the first half.

It's possible. Like I said, I wasn't all there.
