Props to him and I'll love the guy forever for his contributions to the US, but you have to admit he can be an infuriating player. Possibly the most polarizing player in USMNT history.
Regarding the OP:
Suarez - I've never seen a player with more desire to score goals and win.
Ramos - Has his faults, but always shows up when it matters.
Costa - Same as Suarez but an even bigger a-hole.
Luiz - Improved so much last few years. One of the best CBs in the world.
Vardy - He's he kind of annoying, dickhead striker i want on my team.

I've never understood the hate he always gets.
I mean, I know he has a tendency to go forward too much but he's a great guy and is obviously very passionate about his club & country.

I don't know so much about hate, but most people viewed hime as highly over rated as a defender and not worth his price tag..
I agree that he seems like a very likable person...
