Yes, he included himself.

He doesn't get the hype, but will go down as one of the GOAT.

Ronaldo is like Ken Griffey, Jr. If he wasn't injured, he would have been the GOAT.

I think Beckenbauer could have replaced Cannavaro.

Judging by the selections, it was mainly players he played against during his career.

Pirlo from 2003-2013 was one of the best ITW. If you really want to nitpick his selections, Cannavaro and Zidane are just as big of a wtf picks as Pirlo.

Not a terrible lineup. I would replace Cannavaro and Pirlo with Beckenbauer and Cruyff.

In an all Time XI? Really? Man was the ultimate highlight player, basically Pogba pre-Vine. Literally get chest pains when his name is brought up as a GOAT midfielder, there's no justification to it.

I understand Pirlo's bandwagon was out of control post 2012 when English media first noticed his existence, but him, Xavi, and Iniesta were on a completely different level in the 2000's (Iniesta more so post-Rijkaard).

Every bit as overrated as Pirlo supposedly is.

Ok, not arguing Pirlo's selection in the squad (nowhere near good enough defensively to be considered a GOAT midfielder, think he'll end up surpassed by Verratti), but there's numerous selections i'd pick before Zidane (and Cannavaro) as well, which was the point I was making.

Pogba will be lucky to be 1/4 the player Zidane was.

Funny how the perception of Pogba is drastically different to Zidane's in the social media era, really isn't that much difference between the two and I'd wager once Pogba's career is over there will be very little to seperate the two and preference of one over the other will just depend on how old you are.

ETA: and as far as Pirlo is concerned, he'd have to at the very least be in the discussion for greatest regista of all time (kind of silly to compare him to someone like Zidane who's role and responsibilities were completely different, like comparing a defender to a forward and claiming one is superior to the other)
