I'm here at Lyngby Stadium as Lyngby BK has a 1-0 aggregate lead over Slovan Bratislava. I'm sitting close enough to the bench to give the coach advice should it be necessary.
I've been coming to the early games for two years now (was awesome for their first home game back in the Superliga last year), and I'm hoping they can get in the tourney and make some

Ref awarded a Bratislava a soft pk, but fortunately the ball didn't lie.
Lyngby has looked on their back foot the whole game, but on the chance Bratislava committed a handball in the box and Lyngby made the pk with a Dempsey-esque center chip.

On a really slow 3G connection right now with my work phone. I'll post after the game when I can get back to wifi
Evidently I'm still close enough to campus to get eduroam access
Yellow for Bratislava

Lyngby advances 3-1 on aggregate. They advance to play Krasnodar

How does one even come across something like this?
DTU= Danish Technical University?

It's proper name is Danmarks Tekniske Universitet, but yeah is the Technical University of Denmark and one of the top engineering schools in the world.
The University of Alabama has a partnership with them (along with VaTech, Case Western, Northwestern, and Auburn) where undergraduates can fulfill their unit operations class requirement here at their highly advanced pilot plant center (over 30 pilot plant operations). While in grad school, my advisor was in charge of the class and let me come over to teach it. Went back last year as a victory lap of finishing up. This year I didn't know if I'd be doing it as I graduated and now teach at a school in Texas, but I didn't have any summer classes, so when my former advisor reached out and offered me the chance to do it again (but for more pay as my qualifications had gone up) I took it.
Grading 90 15-25 page reports, meeting with students to improve their technical writing ability, and sit through cultural presentations over the course of three weeks is pretty rough, but it's a nice paycheck and it makes taking a European vacation with my wife a lot less expensive since my flights to and from the states are paid for.

Krasnodar will be tough.
I don't know much about them, but I can talk at pretty good length about Lyngby's style and personnel.
What I find most interesting is how fluidly the rest of the team can change based on which striker they have in the game.
Jeppe Kjaer is a dangerously fast and quick little guy. When he's in the whole team essentially parks the bus and looks for quick long ball counters. When the counter works, it's like a really poor guy's version of Real Madrid a few years ago where it seemed like it was get possession, outlet to Ozul, through ball on to Ronaldo's foot and into the goal.
When they play Kim Ojo, tall Nigerian center forward, the team becomes much more possession oriented with pretty decent midfield play, to allow the full backs to come up and just try to cross it into the box. The only problem with this strategy I've noticed is that Ojo is a piss poor finisher.

Based on #10's hair, he has to be at least 40 years old.

So Smolov will still be out for tomorrow's Krasnodar vs. Lyngby match. Also, #1 keeper Kritsyuk is most likely out with injury too. Good news for the Danes.
