M&T in bmore is much better
I saw Chelsea vs Milan there way back and it was awesome.
All the bars and pubs in the area made an awesome pre match atmosphere.

I don't love the idea myself. Would be nice to see them match against some other leagues but I wont lose any sleep either way. (and I do get the nostalgia of it so I can understand the excitement)

dont get me wrong i think its awesome clubs tour around the world for their fans to see them, but something like a derby is special and should not be watered down in a preseason tourny. Nothing weird about that and lots of people would agree.

Yeah, to each their own.
If it was in Frisco or at AT&T Stadium I'd go, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to see any Manchester Derby that isn't in either Old Trafford or the Etihad.
And since one is typically sold out and probably a bitch, or maybe impossible, honestly have no clue, to get tickets for, looks like it's the Etihad.
