Do you think the fact of the TV deal negates the poor ownership structure?
No, not at all.
I’m just saying United’s debt hasn’t affected you, as a stateside fan, to the extent that you should be writing 10,000 words crying about it.
You had great players and one of the best coaches of all time, so you won a lot of games. Then, the great coach left, so all you had were a bunch of great players who weren’t (and still aren’t) getting that same level of coaching, so you haven’t been winning near as many games.
Had Pep filled SAF’s shoes and United kept filling their trophy case, I don’t believe you’d have written War and Peace about the state of United’s financial standing.

Your missing the point SAF and David Gill covered up a lot of the Glazers flaws as owners
It put United into let’s play catch up around 2015/16 and resulted in spending money on the wrong players bc Woodward was the final say.

I’m not missing the point at all, I just think the point is stupid.
Does United have terrible owners? Sure. Is it some massive impediment to success? No. Would this thread exist if United were winning trophies every year? Absolutely not.

The owners have 100% hurt the ability of the club once SAF left, no director of football or sporting director hired. Instead Ed Woodward was in charge of player recruitment
The lack of investment from the owners has had a substantial negative impact
You have no idea what you are talking about
The Green and Gold protest were happening when United won three leagues in a row and were making champions league finals
To say these protest wouldn’t happen if we were winning trophies shows a complete lack of knowledge on the situation. You should probably do some research before making statements so far from being true.

I’m sorry but your post shows sheer ignorance to what has gone on and I’m gonna call you out on it.
Maybe you didn’t follow the sport back then so you didn’t know, but these protest have been going on since 2005 and in 2010 they happened a lot, despite winning the league three years in a row.

I'm not a Man U fan my man.

Great, it is still a poor ownership structure which gives little to United.

Again, you seem intent on misunderstanding what I'm saying, despite it being something I've repeated over and over. What is the product being sold, and who makes that product? Hint: it doesn't involve the Glazers, or anyone well-indoctrinated to the American style of ownership.
I have far more respect for Abramovich and the Mansours in terms of owners than I do the Glazers. One group expressly understands the sport and why it is played, and the other does not.
