if any of the above are back with the USMNT, outside of severely limited depth due to injury at their position, i will turn against new manager.

i think we see dempsey some more as a sub. there will be too much pressure to not let his last game for the US be the T&T failure.

I wouldn't be shocked if we don't see chandler or johnson again. I think we might see cameron some more, but not sure about howard. Can't see him playing meaningful minutes, but maybe he's added to a roster to help with the younger goalkeepers?

No thanks on Bradley. Let’s move on.

Unfortunately we don't have anyone better at that position. Maybe by 2022 a younger guy will step up and fill that role and Bradley can be a super sub...it sounds crazy typing that...because there's zero explosiveness to Bradley's game.

After those quotes in that article credited to Chandler during qualifying I doubt you see him again. Fabian's game seemed to have fallen off a cliff last few times we saw him.

for some reason this blows my mind. I've always thought of Fab as being at his prime age no matter what the circumstance was. what could have been.

he sacrificed a good bit for the greater good of the team IMO. positionally speaking

I don't think positionally is a word

Yeah...now I feel old. Was thinking he was more like 28-29 right now.

Hell, or maybe 26

Well, he was just about to turn 24 the 1st time he played for us. So it he hasn't been around the USMNT for THAT long. It's excusable to think he was younger.

But it'd be fricking stupid to go into the Gold Cup starting Josh Sargent over Jozy Altidore solely because Sargent is 10 years younger.

True. But we'll do it because Sargent will be better than Altidore by then
