Lamps says CP10 should be ready for Spurs. Prob on the bench, but encouraging.

Half expecting news about a set back any day now.

CP10 is a puss, give it up and let's focus on our stronger lads.

Understand your frustration but they’re gonna give him a lot of time. The good news is that Blues have sufficient talent now to offset some of what we miss from 10.

But the midfield/wingers play really well off a more traditional striker

100% this.

But we are about to be playing a match every 3 or 4 days for the next month or 2, so having all hands on deck is a must.

The likelihood of Giroud departing in January tells me they see Werner at ST. Giroud has long been one of the best target men/hold up and play off of him strikers in the world. France won a WC with him doing that. If this was Franks thinking he’d be playing a lot more and certainly wouldn’t be allowed to leave at the very least.

Frank seems to value versatility from players. Those who can excel under multiple asks, not just one. I Think he’s after chess pieces that he can maneuver at will within the same 11. Watch who is allowed to leave and who comes in. Declan rice fits this idea to a tee and we all know how much frank wants him back.

Agreed. We’ve seen glimpses, but he’s yet to truly establish himself mainly bc of injury. The longer this scenario continues, the harder it’s going to be for him as we continue to bring in reinforcements. Especially versatile ones.

It’s been mainly hamstrings no? Last time he went down it was during pre match warmups. Not sure you can blame his injury issues on the league though it is physical. Aside from injury he’s actually fared rather well as far as the physical side of it is concerned. That goal against City

At some point he's going to miss so many games that the club won't be able to justify his wages.

I still say they should shelve him for a month more. Hamstrings need time to heal and the more time the better. My .02

Being outplayed right now against Rennes. What a save by Mendy on the corner. We’re farting around and not being aggressive offensively. Giroud, Harvartz and Ziyech on now to hopefully add a spark. Sad that Blues had to empty the bench against this garbage side. Hopefully no injuries.
