The only one that interests me is Guehi at Palace.

However, as Randy has noted before, we also need a striker.

I would like to see us go after Ivan Toney.

In a fit of irony, perhaps RS can come back from the bomb squad.
He could be the next iteration of a “super sub.” As frustrating as his play can be, the dude can find the back of the net better than anything that we currently have. Imho, he would be a great option in the last 15 minutes (+ stoppage) to chase points.

Yes Guehi would be great and he’s ready to move somewhere I just hope it isn’t to MU, City or Liv.

Sterling? You gotta be kidding me. I’d rather take Jackson back from Munich before elevating that ball hog.

I don’t believe that is an option.

In a vacuum sure a point at city is fine but when you've been shipping points like we have and new manager energy I'd have like to see us make more of an effort or show a little more urgency, City were there to be had.

Agreed, but not by us.

The back line was shaky, and there was a hole in the midfield.

I think that the personnel decisions were more costly than the tactical ones. Gusto plays poorly on the left. Hato is still a teenager. Haaland attacks from that side. I don’t blame the gaffer for being defensive minded.

Blues are in talks to make a 160mm transfer bid for Vini Jr

Vini Jr is 25
Pedro is 24
Palmer is 23
Estevao is 18

three Brazilians and Palmer in the front could be amazing

one other note, Rosenior and Andrey Santos have history and we might see three midfielders with Santos, Enzo, Caicedo together. Andrey Santos was a Strasbourg captain at 20 years old on loan

Andrey Santos is too good defensively to leave him off. Tuchel used three midfielders successfully while at CFC

Santos is earning more time. He’s played well.

That Vini talk is just talk. Will not happen.

Blueco owns Strasbourg and Chelsea
Rosenior is a good young coach prospect already under contract to a Blueco entity
thus he is a “known” commodity

cynics suspect Rosenior will do as he is told and play the players that Eghbali wants him to play

the issue maresca allegedly had with ownership is Eghbali pressured him to play young guys that they wanted him to play to drive up their transfer value

Gittens, Acheampong, Hato to name a few

Gittens and Hato make no sense. They paid quite a bit for them, so I don’t see them being sold (logically). Now, if they do sell them, it would illustrate how poorly run things are.

As for Acheompong, Maresca supposedly loved him.

the club is run like a hedge fund

bring in assets, evaluate their fit, build up their value, sell at a profit

so the CFC manager has some say in evaluating the player’s fit into the system BUT if they dont fit, ownership wants the manager to try to develop them to maintain their value to sell them

that being said, it seems to me that maresca has been losing his grip for at least a month and a lot of this stuff coming out is his side doing damage control and manipulating the media narratives

I think Maresca had very questionable lineup decisions and little vision on how to manage the development of the younger guys.

Josh and Hato should have played more but he kept playing an over the hill Tosin.

Andrey Santos should have played more but Maresca insisted on running Enzo and Caicedo out for 90 minutes at a time.

Maresca took out Fernandez and played Gusto at 10 against Atalanta when he had other choices like Estevao that made more sense.

I think Maresca is a great Asst Coach that can break down film and come up with brilliant gameplans for big matches. However I think in regards to the entire club direction and management of the roster he is not very good.

maresca had his guys he trusted and ownership seemingly didnt like his answers on why he didnt trust certain players and what he was going to do to develop them. Maresca was feeling pressure so his PR team went on the offensive and the club had enough

there was fault on both sides and plenty of blame to go around for everyone

this whole match was a mess, CFC could be in some real trouble

EPL table is very tight

the 7th place blues are only 5 points removed from 15th place

I am worried if the trend continues and they dont return to CL in 26 then some of the grumbling about leaving CFC will start from key players and undermine the whole squad
