brek became one of my favorite "characters" on the usmnt, i just thinks he brings a lot of passion along with his skill to the pitch and its contagious.

A) My computer hates me right now. These streaming sites are the Internet equivalent of fricking a stripper without a rubber. Sorry, computer.
B) My stream sucks more balls than Jenna Haze at a gang bang. Can anyone tell me if Gomez was actually offside? It looked to me like someone else was, then he tried to get back onside, and the ref incorrectly called Gomez offside.
But I can't see shite so I am not going to blame the ref yet.
C) The ref hasn't been terrible so far. The Goodsen card was iffy, but not ridiculous. Guatemala should have one or two cards by now though

E) If we cap Joe Corona tonight, is he tied to the US forever? Or is he already tied to the US? If not, we should get him in there at some point.

Say what you want, but I'm impressed so far with our boys. A few hiccups, but we've made some great plays. Always tough to get a lead this quick in a warzone like G. City.

Concur. He has had a few good passes. He had one ball where he freaked out and cleared it. He did chase that Guate player down on a counter which was great. But his long balls aren't that great.
Once again, I think Klinsmann's lack of wide players has hurt us. Move Jones to CDM where Edu.
I also think that this game will open up even more in the 2nd half because we are up a goal. I think Guatemala will send more number forward. We dominated possession and were in their half a good bit of the time. Just need to make better passes in the final third. It's tough when you have 7 people back there.

I concur. He scared me letting that guy slip behind him for a shot on goal. I looked away, so it may not be entirely his fault, though. On replay I saw he was pretty far away. Got the doors blow off him, eh?

From a soccer standpoint, I think he gives us a huge advantage against Mexican and Central American competition. I don't feel like there is a right back in the confederation that can handle the size, speed, and ball skill of Shea. He's gotta get on form and get his head right to really help us, though.

I agree about the ref. Not terrible in that he's called a lot of fouls on them, but they should have some cards.
Shea just hasn't looked very good for us outside of a couple games (the 1-1 Mexico game and I'm struggling outside of that). Maybe he was tired in that run of games last year, but I'm not desperate to have him on the team at this moment. Lichaj was the strangest omission for me.
