Liverpool bc half my family is from Boston and after watching the 2010 World Cup I wanted to follow clubs and FSG bought them. My two American football teams are literally the lowest of the low and always will be due to market size and general good ole boy dickheadery in management (Jags and Ole Miss), so it’s nice shamelessly root for an established club.

England - Chelsea; I never gave a frick about professional soccer until I got FIFA for the PSP. Randomly picked them for a game and fricking loved playing with Torres and Drogba, got me into watching professional soccer and their CL win was the first CL game I ever watched. Been a devout follower ever since.
Germany - Bayern Munich; The German teams at the World Cup were always my favorite to watch once the US got bounced. My family has a very German background and basically all the prominent Munch players were also on the German national team. Miroslav Klose is probably my favorite player ever. Not as big of a follower as I am of Chelsea because the league competition is much weaker than in England.
Spain - Barcelona; Not a huuuuuge fan of Barcelona but I really like Messi and fricking hate Ronaldo. I would never wear a Barca jersey ... but I watch them frequently, and would support them over everyone except Chelsea and Bayern in a Champions League context.
Colombia - Bogota Santa Fe; My girlfriend and her family’s team. I didn’t really have a choice but I was in Bogota a few years back when both Bogota teams made it to the final. Pinche maricon “millenarios” beat Santa Fe ... girlfriend was legit concerned for our safety walking back from her grandparents, tons of morons wearing Millenarios gear in the streets acting like assholes. frick them. Hard.
MLS - Still torn between FC Dallas and Houston, I fricking hate the city of Dallas but Houston’s colors are so fricking gay. I can hardly watch them.
I don’t support any French or Italian teams because they are garbage at football, games aren’t entertaining, and they are a bunch of feminine queers

Liverpool- A friend was a supporter when I was in college, had matches on a few times when I was visiting their apartment... Enjoyed watching them play, then 2013/14 happened and I was hooked.

Can’t speak for the French, but Série A is pretty good. This season, I don’t expect Juve to be as dominant, Napoli is usually fun to watch, Inter should improve, and there are a few mid tier teams playing well. It should be an entertaining season.

When I had my wisdom teeth pulled as a kid my mom bought me the new FIFA game with Henry on the cover. Always played with him and Arsenal. Was briefly a NYRB fan.
